I am switching the track on a 2000 Vmax 700.... it is stripped down to the front axle. I have the set screws removed from the speedo side bearing collar, its loosened and lubed real well, but it wont come off the axle..AAAAAAAAAAHHH. dunno.gif . anyone have exerience w/ this? The clymers manual doesnt reference any special puller or anything.....

I bought a camoplast ripsaw and I cant wait to test it out...

on my zr, the bearing twists out of the collar that the set screw was in, try twisting the collar

Thanks WFO ... I will try twisting, cause beating the fuck out of it with a BFH didn't work... out to the shop I go...

the bearing was stuck in the collar, correct? At least thats how i understood your first post. beerchug.gif < let me know how you make out with it.

Hmmmm , they are supposed to pop out if you have the set screws loose, didja get it?

Set screws came out no problem. Took a puller to get the bearing off the axle though. All better now...
