I haven't met a whole lot, but I do stay in contact with a few that I've never met and consider them just as good of friends (or better in some cases) than people I've met in real life.

Late winter of 2005 I met and rode with some guys from HCS and since then I've put close to 10,000 miles on with people I've met through TBP, HCS and FS. With most of my friends from home who ride either bailing from the sport or not committed to going out and finding snow I'd probably have sold the sleds and moved onto something else if it wasn't for the people I met online.

none of my ole school sledding buddies are hardly even on line, let alone on a sledding site. For the most part it has been a positive experence of meeting some new freinds

theres a couple of assholes I've met but that became apparent quickly and I only dealt with them a few times. Figure 3 assholes of the 60 or 70 I've met isn't bad. Theres one I wouldn't piss on if he was on fire although I'd still tow him from the woods if he sled broke down.

thankfully the assholes show there true persona's early less wasted time. A lot of my non-internet sledding buds are married, have kids and just couldn't ride as often as we could. Still ride with them once or twice a year life is short and I want to ride alot

your cuz probably knows one of the 3 since his relatives are at totem pole and he's tried to destroy both local clubs before finally destroying one in southern NH. Worst thing is I like him best of the 3 I've met but the other 2 are buddies of his.
