Adjusted the low speed and got her to idle pretty good, but then you had to feather the throttle to rev it up. Tried adjusting the fuel level, and nothing happened. dunno.gif Gonna clean it again and make sure I have it put back together right before I fuck with it any more. 0.gif

about a half. Gotta stop the leak in the carb first before I do anymore tinkering. Been cleaning it up though. Painted all 3 pieces of the exhaust, and gotta finish scrubbing the engine and bellypan etc etc.

The reason for the fuel level question is that if the pump in the carb is not working then it will only run well when the fuel level is above the carb.

You also have to make sure you don't have any internal leaks in the carb. Examine any flap type rubber/plastic parts inside for bends or tears. 0.gif kind of like an oversized chainsaw carb.

I already know it leaks.. Internal or external, the fucker leaks. All the diaphrams and O rings looked good. I'm sure I had to pinch an O ring, or got one of those fucking spacer/washer/diaphrams in fucked up.

Edit: Wanted to take some pics, but the fucking camera is missing again. wtf.gif < damn kids

Got all 3 pieces of the exhaust painted now. Cleaning up the bellypan and touched up some rust spots with an aluminum colored paint. Doesn't quite match, but its under the exhaust and should help seal her up. Not gonna strip this thing down and make it a show piece, just make it nice enough for the kids, and me. 0.gif

Is that your local dealer?

No, my local dealer is Hanover Powersports about 3 miles away. I used Extremepowersports.com to look up part numbers online. Then I usually give the local dealer a chance to sell me a part before going mailorder. Extreme hits pretty hard for S&H even though they are less than 50 miles from here. I have used Ronnies before. HLSM was the first to go online with parts and lots of places still use their system/database. 0.gif
